St. Stephen's Cathedral is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Vienna and the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna. Its current Romanesque and Gothic form seen today, situated at the heart of Vienna, Austria in the Stephansplatz, and stands on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first being a parish church consecrated in 1147. As the most important religious building in Austria's capital, the cathedral has born witness to many important events in that nation's history and has become one of the city's most recognizable symbols.

Кафедральный собор Св. Стефана главная церковь венской епархии и кафедра венского архиепископа. Расположен в самом центре Вены на Штефанплатц. Собор находится на месте двух более ранних церквей, построенных в 1137-1147 г.г. Современный романо-готический вид собор приобрел к 1511 г. Как наиболее важное религиозное здание в столице Австрии (во времена Габсбургов ни одно здание не могло быть выше колокольни собора), собор стал свидетелем многих важных исторических событий и является символом Вены.
